Alice Cooper premieres the 'oddest song' he has ever recorded

Planet Rock’s very own Alice Cooper has released a new track called ‘Our Love Will Change The World’, which he has described as “one of the oddest songs I’ve ever done.”
The second taster of Alice Cooper’s new studio album ‘Detroit Stories’, ‘Our Love Will Change The World’ sees Alice abandon his trademark hard rock sounds in favour of squeaky clean pop melodies and an upbeat tempo.
Perhaps the most bizarre thing about ‘Our Love Will Change The World’ is that Alice’s vocals are barely recognisable.
Commenting on his seismic shift of musical direction with ‘Our Love Will Change The World’, Alice Cooper says: “I think ‘Our Love Will Change The World’ is one of the oddest songs I’ve ever done and it was one that came to us by somebody else, another Detroit writer. And it was so strange, because it was happy and what it was saying was anything but happy – it was simply a great juxtaposition. And I got it immediately and said “okay, this is going to be great”.
“The music saying one thing and the lyrics saying something else, I love that song. It is totally different from anything else on the album.”

Also featuring the lead single ‘Rock n' Roll', Alice Cooper’s 28th studio album 'Detroit Stories' will be unleashed upon the world on Friday 26th February 2021.
Named after the city that spawned the original Alice Cooper group, 'Detroit Stories' follows in the footsteps of last year's 'Breadcrumbs' EP’ and is a celebration of the sound and spirit of the Golden Era of Detroit rock.

Alice explains further: "Detroit was the birthplace of angry hard rock," explains Alice, "After not fitting in anywhere in the US (musically or image wise) Detroit was the only place that recognized the Alice Cooper guitar driven, hard rock sound and our crazy stage show.
“Detroit was a haven for the outcasts. And when they found out I was born in East Detroit... we were home.”
